A self-proclaimed unreliable narrator, she begins to reflect on a lifetime of trauma, illuminating the truth behind her endangerment. Angela, our heroine, overflows with quirks, stories, and a final secret that puts the reality of violence, abuse, and firearms in America in your lap. The play is part confessional, part stand up, and part reckoning.

The sidewalk surrounding the plaza is transformed into a gallery of art with a riot of color! This benefit for Northcoast Children’s Services is supported by local businesses. 8:30-11A Join Redwood Region Audubon Society for a free guided field trip at the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary. October often brings many migrants, including sanderlings, sandpipers, other waders, and ducks! Bring your binoculars and meet trip leader Jim Clark at the end of South I Street (Klopp Lake) in Arcata for incredible views of Humboldt Bay, easy-to-walk trails, and a great diversity of birdlife. 707 -268-0262
8:45-10:30A Join the City of Eureka and PacOut Green Team for our bi-monthly Trash Bash! For this cleanup, we will meet at Walmart to clean up and beautify the waterfront! We always end with a group photo and raffle! Please meet at Walmart behind the Bayshore Mall and we will pick up trash around the surrounding waterfront areas. When you arrive, you will need to sign in and get supplies. There will be Los Bagel’s for for breakfast so come early at 8:45am and enjoy a bagel.

EXPLORE NORTH COAST HUMBOLDT BAY COASTAL CLEANUP
9A-12:30P North Coast Environmental Center and Explore North Coast are working to clean up Humboldt Bay. Join Explore North Coast for a kayak cleanup around Tuluwat Island in Humboldt Bay. Meet at the Humboldt Bay Boat Launch, under the bridge to Samoa at 9 am. All water craft are welcome, life vests are required. Cleanup supplies will be provided, but if you have any of your own gear you’d like to bring, please feel free.

AAUW-HUMBOLDT EXPLORES HOSPICE OF HUMBOLDT
9:30-12P Gail Saunders and Tia Bartelle from Hospice of Humboldt will be the speakers for the American Association of University Women-Humboldt (AAUW) meeting. They will address the issues and strategic priorities facing Hospice of Humboldt. Community members are invited to join in to learn more about the vital services hospice offers. The event will be held at the Red Lion Hotel, 1929 4th St., Eureka. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the speaker presentation and Q&A at 10:30 a.m. The cost is $9 including coffee/tea; $24 including breakfast.
RUN IN THE REDWOODS 5K WALK & FUN RUN
10A The scenic 5K course starts on Drury Parkway, midway down Elk Prairie, and ends at the Prairie Creek Visitor Center. In between, it follows portions of four trails and loops roughly around Elk Prairie, past the campground, amidst massive ancient redwoods. Register online.
