11:30-12:30 – Join us on a guided walk through an enchanting old growth redwood forest. Learn about the adaptations of tallest trees in the world, and the legacies of stewardship that have allowed us to preserve the last 4.6 % of these amazing ancient giants. The walk will take place in the Exhibit Trail. We will meet and begin from the Visitor Center. Comfortable walking shoes and a water bottle are recommended. See you Friday! At Richardson Grove State Park.
12-5P Santa arrives at the Gazebo via Humboldt Bay Fire truck. Santa will be there to hand out candy canes and interact with children. There will also be music and kid’s activities.

6:30-9:30P The Dell’Arte Company opens its 42nd annual Holiday Show Tour with an original piece of theatre: NightLight: a Winter Solstice Story. In the darkness there are mysteries, creatures, mischief, and metamorphosis. In the light there are truths, togetherness, enlightenment, and growth. Or is it the other way around? Join this ensemble of storytellers and shapeshifters on a journey to discover what is illuminated in the darkness. Immerse yourself in a world of shadow and light, sound and silence where courageous characters try to find balance in the duality of their world. Will they find it in each other or within? Also happening the weekend of 12/16/22
7P – Follow the yellow brick road in this delightful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale, featuring the iconic musical score from the MGM film. The timeless tale, in which Dorothy Gale travels from Kansas over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz, continues to thrill audiences worldwide. By L. Frank Baum With Music and Lyrics by Harold Arlen and E. Y. 8P – A musical comedy based on the children’s stories of Dr. Seuss, with most of its plot being based on Horton Hears a Who!, Gertrude McFuzz, and Horton Hatches the Egg. Follow these beloved characters through the Seussian Jungle, New York City Circus, and the tiny town of Whoville as Horton tries to help his Who friends survive. The show runs Fridays at 8PM and Saturday & Sundays at 2PM from November 25 through December 18 at Ferndale Repertory Theatre. This show is fun for all ages! Tickets are available

9-4P St Bernard’s Academy is having a Rummage Sale Saturday November 26th from 9am-4pm in the St. Bernard’s Auditorium! Ms. Jo and Mr. Hamilton will be taking a group of students to London and Paris this spring and we would love your support! Come by and see what awesome stuff you can find! We are also accepting donations so if you’ve got a garage full of stuff that you keep saying your’e gonna use and never do…here is your chance to put it to good use. We will be spending the thanksgiving break coordinating drop-offs so just give us a shout at [email protected] and we can take that stuff off your hands!

10TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY AND ARTIST’S RECEPTION
1-5P Trinidad Art Gallery celebrates 10 years as a local artist cooperative sharing the finest arts and handmade crafts with our Humboldt County community. Join us in a festive day with snacks, wine, music, and meet some of your favorite artists. Featured for November are botanical printer Patty Demant and mosaic artist Jennifer Pierce. In recognition of our community’s generous support over our 10 years as a thriving Trinidad business, 10% of sales from the long Thanksgiving weekend will be donated to the Trinidad School’s Art Program.

5-7:30P Santa arrives on a fire truck at 5:30 p.m. and lights up the Christmas tree. After, go indoors for activities and snacks. Bring your camera to take a free photo with Santa. 7-9:30P Join Joel Sonenshein as he leads you in song every first Thursday of the month, singing your favorite folk, pop and rock songs of the Sixties and Seventies. Songbooks are provided, so all you need to bring is your voice. Participants are welcome to pass out copies of any tune they’d especially like to sing.
