Longer days mean the plants and green leaves are sprouting up and out everywhere. The Humboldt Senior Resource Center is hosting a local food truck at its Eureka location each Friday in March. A portion of the proceeds from each Friday’s sales will be donated to Meals on Wheels Redwood Coast. The participating food trucks are: March 24 – Manzanilla Kitchen March 31 – The Diver.

9P Mazzotti’s one-year anniversary of their reopening is being celebrated in style, by bringing a little bit of Vegas to Humboldt. World-famous duo Clint and Ila Ingbretson, bring their exciting and entertaining celebrity impersonation act to Arcata. Featured will be Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson and more, complete with costumes and amazing singing. Guests are encouraged to wear formal attire as this is a black tie and cocktail dress affair. Doors open at 8:30pm and showtime is at 9pm. This is an 18 and over show.

10A-6P The Humboldt County Historical Society will be holding workdays at the Timber Heritage Society’s shops in Samoa to process, organize and catalogue a large collection of historical newspapers, including copies of the Humboldt Standard, Times Standard, and Humboldt Beacon. The Society is seeking volunteers to come help us physically sort, organize, label, catalog, and box materials for ease of storage and further processing and use. Cataloging will also include computer data entry and the creation of an electronic database detailing the range of dates represented in the newspaper materials. LOCATION: 930 Vance Avenue in Samoa.
KEET TUBMAN-DOUGLAS FREEDOM FESTIVAL
11A-4P This event celebrates the work that Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass, two iconic heroes, achieved in their fight for freedom. Using their intelligence, courage, perseverance, and grit, they became leaders of the movement to end slavery. For this Freedom Festival, we highlight their legacies and qualities. We bring these legacies and qualities into the community to explore what liberation looks like today. The festival is open to everyone and to all ages.
RICHARDSON GROVE STATE PARK WINTER WALKS
11:30A-12:30P Like redwoods? Like unpredictable weather? Like hiking and learning at the same time? Join us on a guided walk through at Richardson Grove State Park! Learn about the park’s cultural and natural history walk. Meet in front of the Richardson Grove State Park Visitor Center. Bring comfortable walking shoes, water, and maybe a rain jacket. Walks are 0.5 miles long, on an ADA trail, and take less than 1 hour. Walks may be on Exhibit Trail or Nature Loop.
CLEAN CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY DAY CELEBRATION
12-4P Bring your family out for an afternoon of music, fun, and games! Families will have the opportunity to interact with Safety Sam, the Caltrans mascot, as well as a few other special guest mascots you won’t want to miss! The event includes food trucks, a touch-a-truck exhibit, interactive booth activities from a wide range of groups, and vendors that are doing innovative work to divert trash from landfills. The public will also be able to connect with various groups to see how they can be a part of a Clean California for their community. Happening under the Samoa Bridge in Eureka.
1-6P A safe and fun space for dogs and owners to enjoy together. Party will be inside and outside in the parking lot so there is plenty of space for dogs, families and vendors. Also, raffle and food avaialbale from The Couxp truck. Dogs must be on leash. At the Hatchet House in Arcata.
1-4P People of Ukraine have been decorating eggs for centuries. Diane Johnson teaches the wax and dye process. She has taught the art for over thirty years and includes cultural references in her classes. All proceeds go to refugee relief. All materials provided.

MICRODOSING INTEGRATION: SOUND HEALING AND MEDITATION
5:45-8P This integrative class will start with microdosing education, followed by an offering of microdose tea. Microdosing is subperceptual, and subtle. We will be flowing through some gentle stretches, before being guided through a meditation. As we lay in this conscious state of visualization we will ascend to the power of sound. SQUIRRELS VERSUS RATTLESNAKES: THE EVOLUTION OF UNIQUE ANTI-PREDATOR BEHAVIOR
7-8:30P Join the Natural History Museum for an evening lecture presented by Dr. Barbara Clucas, Squirrels versus Rattlesnakes: the Evolution of Unique Antipredator Behavior. Barbara is an Associate Professor in the Department of Wildlife at Cal Poly Humboldt. She studied this fascinating predator-prey relationship in California ground squirrels and other species for her PhD work at the University of California, Davis. Masks are encouraged. Donations are appreciated. This lecture will be recorded for later viewing.
7:30P Under this Clown Castle, the black and red big top tent, Acrobats of the Air, Illusionists, freaks, mysterious creatures and all the elements that make one think of a “normal” Circus but that of normal has very little.
