KIWANIS OF FORTUNA PANCAKE BREAKFAST
7-11A – Bring the kids and enjoy pancakes, sausage, coffee, milk and orange juice. Benefits local scholarships and youth activities.
9A-12P – oin Redwood Region Audubon Society in partnership with a local guiding company, Kayak Trinidad, for an exciting morning viewing local seabirds from a kayak. On Saturday, July 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., we will ply the waters of Trinidad Bay with professional kayak guides seeking out Marbled Murrelets, Pigeon Guillemots, Common Murres, Black Oystercatchers, and more. All kayaks and gear are provided. Space is limited and reservations are required. Costs for this trip are $109 per person. WIGI WETLANDS VOLUNTEER WORKDAY
9-11A – Help create bird-friendly native habitat and restore a section of the bay trail by removing invasive plants and trash. Meet in the parking lot directly behind Walmart. Tools, gloves and snacks provided. Bring your own drinking water. 214-605-7368
CRAFT FOR THE COAST TRASH ART SHOW
Join us from 10AM – 1PM at the Arcata Farmer’s Market to view the Craft for the Coast trash artwork! If you want to show your support for the art you can visit www.yournec.org/craft4coast and cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award. Craft for the Coast strives to bring awareness to marine debris issues and give litter a new life! We embrace the idea that art is activism and has the power to influence policy and change the way we deal with marine debris as a community.
9A-1P – That’s right, we have our own Ivy League in town and it’s not what you think. Instead of hitting the books hard to get that college degree, we are hitting the park hard to eradicate ivy from our beloved Redwood forest!

Check-ins start at 9:30, even is 10A-2P – at Kimtu beach in Willow Creek. The event will consist of safety information, games, swim assessment, rapid swimming, raft float and free lunch. For people under 18 years old parent permission slips are required.
6-9P At the Eureka Municipal Auditorium. Skate/Roller blade rentals are available.

10A-2P Help remove invasive plants along Freshwater Slough. Bring a water bottle, long pants/shirt, sunscreen, hat, closed-toed shoes and a jacket. Tools and lunch provided.
HONORING THE LOVE AND PAIN FOR THE WORLD
10A-12P – We will gather to Honor Our Love and Pain for the World. This will be equal parts sharing in circle, solo time on land, a simple grief ritual, and creating ecoart together. This is a FREE simple earth-based gathering and everyone is welcome. What to bring: Just your self, water and a snack. If you’d like, bring an item you’d like to temporary place on the centerpiece. Perhaps an item that symbolizes a loss or gratitude or something you are feeling about what is happening in the world and our relationship to Mother/Lover Earth.
1:30-7P – If you’re feeling like the world’s a bit too on fire for your taste, if you’re wanting some freetime, playtime, rest time, snack time, community time-then you’re invited to come hang out 🙂 Open to all. July 24th❣️ ✨Everything is free✨ free snacks, drinks, free-to-use hammocks, art supplies, games, books, etc. You’re welcome to bring shareables or just your sweet lil self!
