2-3P Like redwoods? Like unpredictable weather? Like hiking and learning at the same time? Join us on a guided walk through Founders Grove Loop at Humboldt Redwoods State Park! Learn about the park’s cultural and natural history walk. Meet by the Founders Grove park restrooms on Dyerville Loop Road. Bring comfortable walking shoes, water, and maybe a rain jacket. Walks are 0.6 miles long, on an ADA trail, and take about 1 hour. Happening each Friday in February as well as March 10th.
7-8P Please “be our guest” and join HLO KidCo for an enchanting performance of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” Based on the original Broadway production that ran for over thirteen years, was nominated for nine Tony Awards and won the 1992 Academy Award for best picture, Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” is a spellbinding story of transformation and inner beauty. Your family will be captivated by this whimsical take on the classic fairy tale. Great for the whole family.

SAMOA DUNES AND WETLANDS CONSERVATION AREA
10A-1P Explore the wonders of Samoa Dunes & Wetlands Conservation Area. Join a Friends of the Dunes naturalist for a free guided tour of this recently conserved area. This 357-acre ecologically diverse property features open sand sheets, wetlands, and the southernmost extent of the Shore Pine-Sitka Spruce forest in the Pacific Northwest. 10A Join Samantha from Eden Personal Fitness for a functional fitness walk down Waterfront Trail. All fitness levels welcome. Check weather and dress accordingly.
11A-3P We welcome the return of this ever-popular race organized by some Blue Lake fixtures to raise money for the Annie and Mary Trail as well as the Blue Lake Bike Park! We are proud to sponsor this cyclocross event that features both 30 and 60-minute lap races, as well as the wildly popular kids races. Come on out to Blue Lake and support this family-friendly event and all the work that’s being done to bring more trails and cycling opportunities to our community!

4-11P Black Family exclusive event – Come kick it old school we having a “house” party! BBQ, music, dominoes and more!! Everything’s FREE!! This event is EXCLUSIVE for Black families, in the many shapes and forms those exist. This means we are exclusively inviting people who identify as Black, Brown, African American, Afro-Latiné, Caribbean, Afro-Caribbean, African, or from anywhere within the African Diaspora, and their loved ones. 11A BIPOC exclusive space – Presentation on the science of Breath work and certain meditation techniques, lead a Breath work session (about 45 minutes) and then hold space for integration afterwards. FRUIT TREE GRAFTING: LECTURE, DEMONSTRATION AND TOUR
2-4P This workshop is an introduction to fruit tree grafting with an emphasis on making new trees as well as adding new varieties to existing trees. Lecture will cover: tools needed, scion collection, rootstock selection and multiple grafting techniques including whip, cleft and the bark graft. Rain or shine. Lecture and demonstration held indoors with tour of homestead to follow. This workshop is free however a $10-20 donation is recommended. Space is limited for this event.
