The sun sure does offer a certain air of inspiration after a long cold Winter, and it even feels like things might just be getting back to normal with plenty of chances to gather around friends and family outdoors and indoors alike. Arts Alive, the Cal Poly Welcome Concert and a certain Black Tie Affair are just a few of the things to choose from when looking to do something different this week in Humboldt County!

CAL POLY HUMBOLDT FACULTY WELCOME CONCERT
5P, Please join an exciting collective of Humboldt music faculty with an early evening concert of superb chamber music, featuring selections for strings, woodwinds, brass, voice, and piano. Held at Fulkerson Music Recital Hall on the HSU campus.
BIDS FOR KIDS ANNUAL AUCTION & DINNER
5-9P, Join the Boys and Girls Club of Humboldt County for the 23rd annual Bids for Kids event fundraiser. Dress to impress and support this necessary community organization for a formal evening of great food and fundraising; a black tie affair. BIRDWALK AT WILDLIFE REFUGE
9-11A, Walk along the Shorebird Loop Trail where songbirds, raptors, waders, and water birds have been spending the winter. The 2 mile walk is easily accessible on a wide, flat, packed gravel trail. Redwood Audubon Society bird photo contest is open to all ages, and everyone is encouraged to submit their photographs. Photos must have been taken within approximately the last year, deadline for entries is 03/01/22. Follow link to find out how to submit!
