HEADWATERS BIRD WALK
8:30-11A, Join Wildlife Biologist and bird expert Ken Burton on a mile long walk on the Elk River Trail identifying bird walks. Many of the migratory birds cannot be seen, but are heard. Be guided by a wonderful journey through the Spring of sweet sounds. Headwaters Forest Reserve at the end of Elk River Road, 6 miles off U.S. Highway 101. CNPS SPRING NATIVE PLANT SALE
9A-4P, The California Native Plant Society (CNPS) invites everyone to the annual Spring Wildflower Show. This year’s theme is “Native Plants in the Neighborhood”. Help bring native plants into your garden and keep garden plants out of the wild.

BICYCLE SCAVENGER HUNT
12N, ALL AGES event and family participation is encouraged! The scavenger hunt can last 1-3 hours, so please plan accordingly! Functioning bicycle, helmet and charged cell-phone are minimum requirements for participation.
It took a pandemic to make Humboldt nightlife come to a standstill, and we’re happy to report that all the best local venues for live music, comedy and other special events at bars, breweries and clubs are back and happening.

Humboldt is a great place to raise kids, and the variety and access to special events, classes and activities is just one reason why. If hiking and visiting the beach aren’t enough to keep your little ones busy this week, check out the complete list of activities.
