The mission: To finally provide Humboldt County with classic, NY style bagels, made the traditional way: Hand-shaped, boiled and baked. This east coast food hub not only provides nostalgic eats, but also a community of people wanting new culinary experiences and quality food service.
Frankie’s Bagels is currently operating 3 days a week, and is using an online ordering system. Customers see the menu for the day, order their items and come pick them up onsite at the Redwood Acres Location. Even with only 3 days a week of service, this business is still thriving.
The Menu includes a wide range of much-loved east coast favorites from the 19 different bagel flavors to the NY Cheesecake, the variety and rotating menu keeps it interesting, while the amazing baked goods keep customers coming back again and again. Frankie’s Bagels also has 5 house cream cheese blends as well as vegan options, Bagel Dogs, Bialys and sweets such as Italian Rainbow Cookies and Babka. The menu regularly features a variety of specials and Sunday is focused on selling only doughnuts with 5 different flavors offered regularly.
The sale of this much loved Bagel shop includes the Logo/Branding, Custom Website, POS System/iPad, Complete Menu and Recipes, Training/Consulting, Customer lists/contacts, Vendor Lists as well as the option to assume the current lease for the kitchen space, outdoor area and potential garden spot.
Prior to Covid, Frankie’s bagels also had a lucrative wholesale business, supplying 10 different eateries and supermarkets with their products for resale. These businesses included Humboldt Cider Co, Siren’s Song Tavern, Big Blue Cafe, Northtown Coffee, Beachcomber, Richard’s Goat Tavern, Dead Reckoning, T’s Cafe, Murphy’s Markets and Wildberries. These wholesale accounts averaged around $10k annually and were only the beginning of the opportunities available for wholesale expansion.
