We will have $5 little-kid friendly earlier time slots available and $15 spookier later time slots available (age 13 & over recommended). ‘A Trip in the Yucatan Gone Horribly Wrong’ haunted house will be more theatrical than most common haunted houses…but it’s going to be spooky, scary, and creative! This experience will take you through a guided tour in the Yucatán jungle in search of a missing family that was on kayaking trip on their vacation. There will be a Mayan Temple maze, eerie jungle scenes, scary actors, and performers in costumes ready to scare you throughout the whole experience!! Follow the map and learn about the incredible biodiversity and ecology of the dunes. Complete the quest and receive magical ocean treasure. Costumes are strongly encouraged! This will be their 25th year hosting this annual McKinleyville event although the previous two years during Covid, the Grange hosted a drive-thru event for the kids. There will be lots of carnival games, a witch’s kitchen cooking up spooky popcorn, fortune telling, photo opportunities as well as lots of candy and prizes. Community members are encouraged to bring canned food or other non-perishables to support Grange’s holiday food basket program to serve those in need.

10/28 Looking for something fun and spooktacular to do Halloween weekend? Join the Clarke and Haunted History Tours for Tea & Spirits, a Roaring Twenties jazz-themed cocktail party! Humboldt Distillery and Dutch & Dewey are creating tea-themed cocktails for your enjoyment, and locally-sourced hors d’oeuvres will be served. Mocktails and other non-alcoholic beverages will be on hand for designated drivers. Tickets for this over-21 event include two drinks and a 45-minute walking tour led by Eric Vollmers of Haunted History Tours, Eureka’s only authorized Ghost Tour. Learn about Old Town’s bawdy past and the spooky residents who are still around today! There will be music from Young and Lovely, a jazz quintet featuring the vocals of three Penner siblings Elisa, Brianna, and Devin. The singers are accompanied by Mike LaBolle on drums and Nate Zwerdling on upright bass. 2ND ANNUAL HALLOWEEN BASH WITH DESTROY BOYS
10/28 9P 2nd Annual SAC Halloween Bash will be headlined by Destroy Boys! They are a San Francisco-based punk band identifying as majority female, non-binary, LGBTQA+, and POC. Destroy Boys are known as a band that uses their platform to be outspoken advocates for a myriad of social justice issues, especially when it comes to racial equality, LGBTQA+ rights and inclusion for all. The punk trio have been redefining West Coast punk over three albums. Opening the show will be the shoegaze and punk influenced band Margaritas Podridas from México.

Learn about the past, present, and future iterations of this great lodge and nearby historic company town.
