6P, Since 1967-the students have been inviting filmmakers (working in traditional, experimental, and non-traditional modes) to enter their film shorts into our festival and that makes us the world’s oldest student-run film festival. $14 or free for Cal-Poly students! SPRING GARDEN GIVEAWAY
9A-12N, Free compost, seeds and more. First-come, first-served. Bring bags or buckets for your compost pick-up, or you can haul it in a lined truck bed or trailer (tarps always work well). Some supplies for compost shoveling provided.

9A-2P, Environmental organizations such as the Sierra Club, 350 Humboldt, and the Climate Action Campaign will be celebrating Earth Day at the Arcata Farmer’s Market. It will feature a compost demonstration, art that visitors can produce reflecting their message regarding Earth Day and more. Please stop by to help us celebrate this important day. More info? 11A-3P, Neighbors are invited to attend to get to know one another and share information and resources around emergency preparedness and community resilience. The event is a potluck so community members are invited to bring a dish to share. Attractions will include musical guest Bandemonium, the Arcata Fire Department, and the Arcata Playhouse’s Wonder Wagon, which will provide fun art- based activities for kids. THE BARTOW PROJECT
1-2P, The Bartow Project culminates a three-year creative collaboration between Dell’Arte, the Wiyot Tribe, Native filmmakers and the HSU Goudi’ni Gallery to present four short films to Humboldt County audiences about the art and life of Wiyot artist Rick Bartow. Hosted by the Minor Theatre in Arcata
